Assignment

The assignment was twofold. On the one hand, an analysis of the global supply chain to determine where and how the stock of accessories should be deposited and purchased for the global market. The second part of the contract concerned evaluation of the European market. Europe’s sustainability agenda is developing new energy production centers that will be cabled.

Results

Global center of gravity model developed by using optimal ratio between 3 ‘circles’
Recommendation to shift stock to Mid Asia to serve Central East Asia but also the Middle East from there
The warehouse could be maintained in Switzerland for the European market, but redesign was necessary.
Recommendation to purchase high value accessories close to project sites and to ship directly instead of via Switzerland.
Stock analysis ABC made for different stock types by value.

Recommendations were adopted by the organization and implemented in the following year.
