The client is faced with increasingly stringent requirements when it comes to management and maintenance of chemical installations. The service level of management and maintenance has come under pressure in recent years.

Results

The organization has been examined at financial, strategic and operational level. The business case drawn up contains recommendations in the area of restructuring the organizational structure, so that it better matches the formulated strategic objectives. The financial evaluation has provided insight into the contribution of the various shared service [cold and hot spots]

At Operational level, an in-depth analysis was made of the criticality of the Operation and the OEE performance. In addition, it was examined whether the project management has the adequate resources to fulfill its function. The actual execution of the various forms of maintenance was mapped out by means of process and work studies. The effectiveness and efficiency of the work was examined. This is related to the total work management by the organization. Are there clear operational objectives, is this planned correctly and on time and in what way is follow-up and improvements made in the organization and in the work. The presented business case was sufficient reason for the Board of Directors to proceed with the project in the short term.
